Just as Inner City sang «Let me take you to a place I know you wanna go” in that mythical year of 1988, we will also try to be a beacon of the culture and lifestyle that gravitate around A CASA PORTUGUESA.
Without any regularity, but whenever we have something to share, here you will have fresh recommendations of those exciting things that make life good!

Vella Terra - Natural Wine Fair
2 February - Carrer de Pamplona 88, Sant Martí from 12h to 20h
If you have never been, the tenth anniversary is the ideal time to visit this natural wine fair, which is increasingly becoming a benchmark on the national scene.
You will be able to discover more than 500 natural wines from 82 wineries from 13 different countries, among which the Portuguese from Gardunha Sul, Grau Baume, RPM Wines and, last but not least, our friends from Penhó Wines that you can find on the shelves of A CASA PORTUGUESA.
We recommend buying tickets online in advance. on the event's website. And for those who can hold out, there's nothing like the after party next door at the Amateur Bar (Llul 101) with DJs, chefs and drinks until 2:30.
What better programme for a Monday?

Brunhilde in La Plata - Genis Rigol (2025)
Brunhilde is a graphic humour comic, minimalist and critical, written and drawn by the Catalan Genis Rigol, who comes from a considerable and highly recommendable career in animated films.
It is a play about the unmanageability of life, when it seems like the script of an insecure and clumsy playwright.
The characters function as an ironic voice exposing everyday social contradictions, while the austere drawing reinforces the coldness and discomfort of the message. A surprising discovery from the end of last year.

Nouvelle Vague - Richard Linklater (2025)
Nouvelle Vague, Richard Linklater's film is a sensitive and intelligent celebration of the creative spirit of “modern” cinema. The film stands out for its formal care and the precision with which it recreates the rhythms and climates of the well-known French movement, far from mere imitation, the film dialogues with the Nouvelle Vague from a contemporary point of view.
It is a warm and luminous work, especially valuable for film buffs.
We recommend complementing the experience with a screening of the revival of Jean-Luc Godard's “À bout de souffle” on Thursday 22 January at the Verdi cinemas.

BETO'S HORNS (Ezra remix)- Fred Again, Ezra Collective, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso (2025)
“Ca7triel & Amoroso ask themselves in this great track/remix of the producer of the year (and of the last few years), here accompanied by the Ezra Collective gang. If you don't dance to this, you don't dance to anything.
Where will Fred Gibson's creative hyperventilation stop? The 10 pop-up, phone-free parties in 10 cities around the world to reveal, one by one, the new music of USB002 with an array of luxury guests, will remain for the history and enjoyment of those who have been able to experience them.
Is it inflated or not? We shall see.
