Autumn in Barcelona 2025

Just as Inner City sang «Let me take you to a place I know you wanna go” in that mythical year of 1988, we will also try to be a beacon of the culture and lifestyle that gravitate around A CASA PORTUGUESA.

Without any regularity, but whenever we have something to share, here you will have fresh recommendations of those exciting things that make life good!

- MIRA Fsummer

7th and 8th November | Fira de Barcelona Motjuic

If you're passionate about electronic music, digital art and immersive experiences, the MIRA Festival is an unmissable event.

Each edition of MIRA turns the Fira site into a sensory laboratory, with audiovisual concerts, immersive installations, experimental performances and DJ sessions that redefine the concept of live performance.

It is currently the ideal place in Barcelona to discover new proposals, get inspired and connect with the best of electronic music.

Where will you see us for sure? Maya Shenfeld + Pedro Maia, Ali Sethi + Nicolas Jaar, Floating Points + Hamill Industries, John Maus, Oneohtrix Point Never + Fleeka Tet, Flying Lotus, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, Marie Davidson + Nick Verstand, Aurora Halal, and for the various installations and performances.

- S. Martinho & Friends

15th and 16th November | Vila Alva, Portugal

On the weekend of S. Martinho (St. Martin) it is a tradition to go to the wine cellars and taste for the first time the wine of the year.

In Vila Alva (Alentejo), a town with 461 inhabitants, there are probably more than 20 wineries or taverns that still make their wines in amphorae using the most ancestral methods. Four winemaker friends who have their wines on the shelves of A CASA PORTUGUESA get together every year to organise two meals with other friends and clients.

The entrance fee? There is no entrance fee. Each attendee (who is happy to receive an invitation) has to bring a bottle of wine of their choice to surprise all the other attendees. At the end there is a “family” photo with more than 200 bottles. If you would like to join us, just let us know and we might have a few more invitations left.

Where will you see us for sure? Adega Natus Vini, Adega do Mestre Daniel and the many small wineries/taverns of Vila Alva open for us to taste their nectars.

Let God Sort Em Out - Clipse (2025)

Let God Sort Em Out is a triumphant return for Clipse. Not only for coming back after such a long time, but for doing it with a solid album: good rhymes, great guests, sharp production by Pharrell Williams, and moments of deep reflection.

Surely one of the strongest hip-hop albums of the year.

Las Buenas Noches - Isaac Rosa (2025)

Las buenas noches is a suggestive and different novel, which plays with the idea of sleep as much as with the idea of intimate dialogue between strangers with a quite original narrative device.

Isaac Rosa shows us his ability to tackle the seemingly everyday with intensity, using lack of sleep as a metaphor to address the wider malaise of our society.

An excellent choice for your sleepless nights :).

One Battle After Another - Paul Thomas Anderson (2025)

One Battle After Another confirms P.T. Anderson as the greatest living filmmaker and one of the greatest directors of all time.

Once again he gives us a daring work that combines the spectacle of an action thriller with the depth of a reflection on the times we live in.

Its mix of adrenaline, visual style and contemporary themes makes it one of the most intelligent, intriguing and stimulating offerings of the year that not everyone will be prepared for.

Great geniuses tend to divide and divide opinion. Sean Penn straight to the Oscar for best supporting actor.
